I have been Dr Alia's patient for nearly 10 years now, sge always took under consideration my fears and worries and always tried to save my teeth even if it would be difficult to do so. I tried few dentists before but wasn't happy with the approach, eventually I brought my kids with me and my partner and I can't see myself going to someone else. She knows her job very well, very good with kids, patient and always trying to find the best solution possible. I recommend Dr Alia

He explained everything throughout the procedure which really put me at ease. Had no after pain post recovery.Sherwin is caring quite knowledgeable and behaves in a professional manner. Dr Alia Johar is an AMAZING dentist, she really helped me get my mouth back to full health after over eight years of avoiding going to the dentist due to a bad former experience. Dr Johar has showed me how a good dental practitioner is supposed to care for their patients, I no longer have panic attacks or fear going into the dental chair anymore because she really takes the time to understand the needs and sometimes fears of the patient and explains everything she's doing in detail and making sure you are happy with every step she takes! She always has a friendly disposition and I have honestly recommended her to soo many family and friends, she's an absolute star, I wouldn't go to anyone else for my Dental needs and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients.

I recently completed treatment at Thornton Heath Dental and Implant centre and can't recommend them enough. Dr Alia talked me through my options to create a more aesthetic smile & carried out the treatment, which included a veneer, composite bonding and a wire/removable retainer. Dr Alia and her dental staff provided a safe space for me to ask as many questions as I needed, in order for me to decide on the right plan for my desired outcome. Now that I've completed my treatment and seen the results, I just wish I'd done it a lot sooner.

The surgery is very welcoming. This is not the first year I have my dentist treatment with doctor Alia Johar. She is a competent and friendly specialist. Very pleasant and trusting in communication. I had a broken back tooth that needed to be extracted and was not going to be an easy pull. I have terrible anxiety about going to the dentist and the first point of contact was the receptionist who was so lovely and reassuring. My first consultation started with Dr. Khan who was amazing and she gave me different options in terms of being referred to the hospital (as the tooth was very complicated) or being referred to her colleague, Dr. Alia, who specialises in cosmetic dentistry and was basically the equivalent of going to the hospital. As nervous as I was, I opted for Dr. Alia as I needed the tooth out and couldn't wait up to 4 weeks for a hospital appointment. And let me just say how amazing she is. She is kind, patient and put me at ease as soon as I sat in the chair and she is super efficient at what she does. I absolutely hate going to the dentist but this one is the best I have come across. Definitely recommend!

Dr Alia is an exceptional dentist. She is warm, caring and respectful. She goes over and beyond to ensure you are comfortable. In addition to this she is very professional. I have been with this dental practice for many years and would never change to another. The current receptionist and staff are also professional and warm. It is important for people to feel at ease and valued as a service user and I most certainly do.

I am writing on behalf of my Mum. She is a nervous patient and had been braving out but suffering over 3 weeks with gum pain. I was unhappy with the quality of care she was receiving previously and I was advised to try Thornton Heath Dental.After reading the reviews, one stood out in regard to tooth extraction and naming Dr Alia, by coincidence my friend uses the same Dentist and urged me to give it a try.Suffice to say, before Christmas, I made an appointment. Dr Alia was kind, pleasant and professional. She provided my mum with temporary medication and booked an appointment for extraction.Today Mum had her tooth extracted in less than 5 minutes. She is recovering nicely and is over the moon at the fantastic treatment Dr Alia and her Assistant provided. She literally said "I trust Dr Alia, she has such a calming influence".Thank you. 😁

Dr Alia Johar has always provided me with exceptional dental service over the many years i have attended Thornton Heath Dental Centre since November 1999. The service is very friendly, courteous and seamless. Dr Alia is very professional, provides first rate dental advice, has a nice personality, open to all types of questions and adept at explaining technical dental terms in a clear manner. I always feel welcomed and at ease with my dental requirements. In addition, it is very easy to book a dental appointment by telephone or in-person. The centre is very clean, excellent interior design and uses advanced technology for various dental procedures. Outstanding service! Highly recommend.

Total coward as a patient but Dr Alia Johar was extremely empathic during my hygiene appointment. She also suggested a jet wash which I've never been offered before and made my teeth look great. Receptionist and dental assistant were also attentive and friendly. We joked that the water spray, dark glasses and summer heat outside made this like a resort spa ... not often said about Thornton Heath! :-)
